Cookie policy
Which cookies this site sets, why, and the one you get to choose about.
Last reviewed 10 September 2026
What is actually set
- Session cookie. Set when you sign in to the platform, so that the next page knows it is still you. It holds an identifier and nothing else, and it is discarded when you sign out or the session expires. Without it, signing in is impossible.
- reCAPTCHA. The contact form runs Google reCAPTCHA to keep automated submissions out. Google sets its own cookies and receives technical signals about that request, under its privacy policy. It applies to the contact form only, and it is there to stop the form being abused.
And one you choose about:
- Google Analytics, only if you accept it. The
_gaand_ga_38HK1K8B5Xcookies let Google count visits and see which pages are read, from what kind of device and roughly which country. They last up to two years unless you clear them or change your answer. Google handles the data under its privacy policy, and Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. It runs on the public website only - never inside the pharmacy platform, and never on a pharmacy's own patient pages.
Your answer itself is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, so we remember not to ask again. That is the complete list.
What is not set
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No analytics cookies unless you accept them, and none at all inside the pharmacy platform.
- Google Analytics advertising features are switched off in the tag.
- No social media pixels.
- No cross-site tracking of any kind.
We are also not going to profile visitors to a healthcare site and then write a paragraph explaining why it was fine.
Turning them off
To change your answer about analytics, use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Saying no after saying yes deletes the Google Analytics cookies.
Every browser also lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking the session cookie will stop you being able to sign in to the platform, because that is the cookie that keeps you signed in - nothing else on the site depends on one.
If this changes
If we add anything else that needs consent, it goes behind the same banner and this page is updated in the same deploy.
